Chula Vista Water Resort

Located in the “Waterpark Capital of the World”, Lost Rios Indoor Waterpark is a 2007 Aquatics International Dream Design Award winner. Featuring a 400-foot lazy river, more than 1.5 miles of slides and 100,000 square feet of murals, the Mayan-themed water resort is also home to one of the first water coaster rides in North America. The waterpark also includes an activity pool, a central play structure with a tipping bucket, racer slides, and a 60-foot slide tower.

Rounding out the waterpark’s design are more than 1,600 artificial tropical plants and trees, a 20-foot snake sculpture, a mezzanine, a concessions area, a tiki bar, and a 10,000 square foot arcade.

Horizon was the design-build general contractor for this project and delivered it on time and on budget.
