Aspects of this project:
50Twenty Apartments offer a luxury living experience on Madison’s growing east side. The three story buildings feature contemporary design, an abundance of amenities, and live/work/play opportunities with its proximity to regional retail and employment centers. A number of challenges were encountered on this project including unusually cold winter conditions, unsuitable soils, and delays with owner direct materials. The construction team managed the schedule to still finish the project 9 days ahead of schedule. Horizon also worked with the client in researching value engineering options, managing owner allowance items and, at the end of the project, was in a position to return savings back to the client. The project was constructed in two phases totaling 263 units of housing.
