Aloft Hotel

This unique, urban hotel in downtown Milwaukee includes 160 guest rooms and 8,000 square feet of retail. The 5-story project was constructed on a very tight parcel between the Milwaukee River and Old World 3rd Street downtown. The project included construction of a riverwalk along the banks of the Milwaukee River. Despite an additional 6 weeks of foundation for caisson drilling, construction was completed 4 weeks earlier per contract. The project developer was originally over budget on the project; Horizon was able to utilize the design-build process to suggest modifications, realign project scope and budget, and complete a very successful project.
