The Landing at Eagle Flats
Aspects of this project:
The Landing at Eagle Flats is a 54 unit, non-age restricted apartment community. The project was part of a large scale revitalization effort on the Fox River in downtown Appleton. The prior use of the development site was a paper mill that was in operation for over a century. The development and design team overcame numerous environmental challenges and coordinated with various agencies to move the project forward. Sustainable construction practices were important aspects of the development. The project was able to use 640 tons of recycled material and solar panels were installed to fuel domestic hot water and heating, greatly reducing energy consumption. The development was certified to meet NAHB standards for Green Communities and Green Built Homes. The City was very pleased with the project which created value from a highly underutilized site and brought new rooftops and resulting economic development to the downtown area.
