CoCo Key – Cincinnati

Horizon completed a 50,000 square foot indoor water resort addition and two hotel renovations totaling $23 million as our sixth partnership with CoCo Key.

This renovation project was completed on budget and ahead of schedule with turnover one month sooner than contracted.  The early turnover was accomplished amidst significant site challenges early in the project, including wet soils that required lime stabilization and buried foundations that did not appear on due diligence studies.

The site challenges presented an extra $400,000 of costs to the project.  We were able to absorb these costs using the design/build process and still returned $25,000 to the owner at project completion.

The completed water resort features water slides, an adventure river, a play structure, an indoor/outdoor spa, and a theme reflecting historic Key West, Florida.
